***A Special Student-Curated Exhibit***

Student Curator **Ada Vazzana** (Harvard College '26) is a concentrator in the Department of History & Science and a [2024 BLISS Fellow](https://socialscience.fas.harvard.edu/programs/bliss-build-learning-through-inquiry-in-the-social-sciences/). During her BLISS internship with the CHSI, Ada came across a “women’s” pocket watch in the Collection. She wondered why someone would make an entirely different type of pocket watch for one sex. It turns out this particular pocket watch was designed to be smaller, more ergonomic for the female hand. Although the watch did not make it into the final exhibit, her interest in the contrasting size of instruments intended for similar functions led Ada to the theme of ***Turn Down The Volume**.* Ada hopes to have the opportunity to curate more exhibits in the future as she goes on to study history and information science.

When she is not buried in archival material, Ada discusses the latest in sci-fi media with her friends in the Harvard-Radcliffe Science Fiction Association. She is also an avid runner for the Harvard College Running Club and Harvard on The Move. Yoga and weightlifting round out her athletic pursuits.
